ripped off!

Hello all! It's a bit sad that I have to do this post, but I feel it necessary to get the word out... as you can see from the image above, my Mister Fox illustration ha been ripped-off by another illustrator... and worse, they are selling product with the image on it in their DaWanda shop! You can see the rip-offs here.
What cheek! It makes me sad and angry when artists feel they can get away with such blatant plagiarism.
I will be contacting the illustrator later today to try and sort this out. But in the meantime, if any of you feel you would like to spread the word about this incident please feel free to blog or tweet about it :) We need to do what we can to stamp out nasty copycats!! xo

circus fun

Heeeyyyy everyone! Hope you've all been well and had a fab week :) This month over at our group blog - We Love To Illustrate - we're having some fun with circus themed illustrations. Here is my contribution, but please head on over and have a peek at the super illos by Julissa, Jennifer, Cally, Nina, and Shirley yay! Hope you enjoy. Have lovely weekends all!

Happy Monday! Here's a little something that I hope will make your Monday a little less... Monday-ish.

Birdy Birthday Card is less than half price at $2.50, and you can also buy Winter Owl Card and Winter Bird Card as a two-pack (one of each design per pack) for $5.00 - that's less than half price too - YIPPEE! So head on over to my Etsy shop if you fancy a bargain card or two. xo

kokeshi

Happy Friday all! How has your week been? Woohoo I've managed to get a bit of designing done in between feeding Elora... I've been fiddling with ideas for some new canvas wall art, and this is idea number one - Kokeshi dolls. What do you think? It feels good to be designing again, even if it does take ten times longer to get anything achieved! Have lovely weekends everyone xo

bunny

Howdy! Thank you all so much for the congrats on Elora - you all rock! She is doing really well, being a little dream baby, I'm a very lucky mum :) I starting making this ragdoll rabbit for Elora on the day I went into labour, so it's been sitting around half-done for a few weeks. But I finally got around to finishing the little dude this week. I bought the pattern here, but modified the ears a bit :) Yay, little bunny is ready for cuddles now! Hope you are all doing great! xoxo

It's a girl!

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to introduce you all to our beautiful baby girl! This is Elora. She was born last Saturday 21st May (exactly on her due date, would you believe!) weighing 7lbs 13oz. We are all doing very well... happy baby, happy mum and happy dad! She's been a total dream baby so far - feeding and then sleeping for 3-4 hours at a time. Perfect! I hope she keeps up the good work hehe! Marty and I are just so in love with our new baby girl, we are very lucky parents :) I hope everything is great with you all! xoxo

Twiggy turns eight

I don't think I've introduced you all to our lovely greyhound... meet Twiggy! She recently had her 8th birthday. Here she is chowing down on a yummy birthday dinner - chicken leg mmm! I got Twigs when she was just 8 weeks old. She was a rescue, her litter was unwanted and would have been put to sleep if they hadn't been adopted. Twigs has a pretty big personality - don't let those refined, elegant looks deceive you - this puppy is completely cheeky and boisterous! But mostly very well behaved :) It will be interesting to see how she reacts when bubs arrives (any day now!). I think she'll be a good four-legged, furry, 'big sister'!

new work

Howdy! It's been a while - how are you all? Woo it's been crazy town here, I've been working like mad to get all my projects done in case bubs decides to arrive a little early. And I've finally finished everything - hurrah! Here are a couple of new card ranges I've designed (just in time for Surtex!) These designs will be available for license through my agent. Alrighty - I got the nesting bug pretty bad, so I think I'll spend the rest of the arvo cleaning skirting boards or something crazy like that hehe! Hope all is well with you lovely people xo

autumn almanac

Helllloooo! Hope you're all doing great! I'm still on the crazy busy train so here is a quick little tune for ya. All the leaves are starting to turn wonderful colours here at the moment, and this song has been going around and around in my head. The Kinks - one of the bestest bands ever! I hope you enjoy :) Will pop by again soon, hopefully with some nice new work to show you. Take care until then! xoxo

new invitations

Morning all! Wow - it's gonna be a beautiful day today - sunny and warm, so I'm hoping to get through my work quickly so I can go finish digging over my vegie beds and sow some green-manure this arvo. Bubba in my belly has the hiccups this morning, and it's really quite distracting hehe! But very cute, it makes me giggle thinking of the poor wee thing bouncing around with the hiccups in there. Six weeks to go... getting very exciting now!
Anyway - I've been meaning to get some fresh Little Beehive product out for a while now, so I put some time aside to work on some new invitations on Sunday... what do you think? I have so many plans for new products, I just need a few more hours in the day so I can sink my teeth into creating them! Have a lovely Wednesday everyone xo

early Easter treats

Hello lovelies - happy Friday, I hope your week has been ace! Another quick stop today, just to let you know that over at our group blog - We Love To Illustrate - the girls and I have just posted some free downloadable Easter treats for you, huzzah! I've done a yummy Easter cake recipe, and Shirley, Nina, Julissa, Jennifer and Cally have done some really fun Easter activity sheets and decorations. So why not pop over and have a little squiz! Happy downloading! xo

bit o' promo

Hiya! How you all doing? Hope all is tops with you! Wooo it's been a flurry of work the past couple of weeks, so I'm just whizzing by to show you a little promo page I've been working on for the Art Licensing Sourcebook. Self-promo stuff is hard, it's tricky to know what to illustrate, but I'm happy with how Mr Fox here has turned out :) Have a fab week everyone! xo

on my screen

Hello everyone! Holy smokes it's been a flat-out week, which is a good thing :) Lots and lots of work to get through in the next couple of months before baby arrives. So here's a little peek at what's on my screen this morning... more animals in teacups! The rough beginnings of one of several projects I'm quite excited about for a fabulous wall-art company here in Australia. It's just at rough draft stage here. Righto, best get back to it... perhaps after some breakfast... mmm peanut butter toast this morning I think!! xo

spring babies

Hiya! Our March post is up over at We Love To Illustrate, and this month's theme is Spring Babies. I've done a wee baby fox in a teacup :) We're running a giveaway this month too - you can win ALL this month's artwork by Cally, Nina, Julissa, Jennifer, Shirley and myself in the form of a set of lovely 4"x4" prints yay! All you have to do is be a follower of We Love To Illustrate and leave us a comment, so please head on over if you are interested. Righto, I'm off to make a coffee and get stuck into some serious work - hope your day is tops!
